This San Francisco native got his start up hanging taboo and eventually touring with the members of Group 87, a late-'70s instrumental ensemble that featured Mark Isham and Patrick O'Hearn. With Isham, Chin accompanied a seminar conducted by Brian Eno on applying advanced engineering science to music. The event was a revelation for the young guitar player, wHO was motivated to expound his horizons into the field of electronic music.
