Joined by bassist Carl Dalemo and drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo, the jazz group recorded some early demos at London's Toe Rag studios, and those songs light-emitting diode to radio exposure and the initial stirrings of hype. Mercury Records signed Razorlight in 2003, and the group began recording their debut in 'tween a serial of feverish -- and more and more than buzzed around -- ball club gigs, working with no less an sureness than Steve Lillywhite. Lillywhite presently left wing the project, but Razorlight continued to compose and platter their album patch still wowing audiences with a freshet of live dates, including a quick showing at the 2004 South by Southwest manufacture fest. At this percentage point drummer Smith-Pancorvo leftfield the grouping, just he was before long replaced by Andy Burrows. Thus reconfigured, Razorlight made their official record album debut in August 2004 with Up All Night. The release was hailed for its fashionable, fizzy desegregate of Strokes sensibilities and post-Britpop cool.
